ABOUT THE RENT
Where do I pick up the boat and where can I go with it?

The boat is picked up in Marina Portoroz. On calm seas you can visit 3 countries in one day. Slovenia, Croatia (Kanegra) and Italy (Grado). You can even visit Venice or Rovinj. Venice is approx. 50 miles from Portoroz, or 2 hours sailing at an average speed of 25 knots. Rovinj is even closer (approx. 33 miles).

What happens in case of bad weather?

In case of bad weather or rough seas, we recommend you not to sail because we don’t want you to feel uncomfortable on board. In this case, we suggest you to postpone the boat trip and to agree on a new date with us.

How many persons is the boat registered for?

The boat is registered for 8 persons (including skipper). For the full experience and comfort on board, we recommend up to 5 persons for day trips and up to 3 persons for overnight stays.

Is fuel included in the charter price?

Fuel is not included in the price. You'll get a full tank of fuel (309 L) and return it full. Average fuel consumption is approx. 2L/NM. There are approx. 35 miles to Grado (Italy) and back, so the total fuel consumption is arround 70 liters (approx. 120€). The nearest fuel station is located in Marina Portoroz - check prices and opening hours directly with the provider.

Do I need a licence to rent this boat?

If you rent a boat without a skipper, you need a boat license. However, we will check your knowledge before renting the boat. If we determine that you cannot safely operate the boat on your own, you will have to hire a skipper (if available) even if you have a boat license.

Is the boat insured for damage?

The boat is insured with a 1% (1.000€) deductible. If the boat is damaged, the boat’s insurance will not cover damage up to 1.000€, and it will be covered out of your deposit.

Am I experienced enough to rent this boat?

We will check your knowledge before renting the boat. If we determine that you cannot safely operate the boat on your own, you will have to hire a skipper (if available).
