Congratulations on successfully booking your dream boat trip. We are glad you chose to rent a boat with us. We will do our best to make your rental as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Important information
Parking: Possible at the Marina Portoroz parking lot (PRICE LIST) or at the gravel parking lot in front of the marina (PRICE LIST).
Boat pick-up: Marina Portoroz, pier F/27
Rental time: From 10:00am to 18:00pm
Fuel: Not included in the price. You will receive the boat with a full tank (309L) and return it with a full tank. The nearest gas station for boats is located at the entrance to the marina.
Security deposit: €1,000 is paid in cash upon receipt of the boat (in case of rental without a skipper). The security deposit is returned at the end of the rental, if the boat is returned in the same condition as when it was received.
Skipper: If you do not have the appropriate license or sufficient boating skills to safely operate the boat on your own (short test in the marina before rental), you will have to hire a skipper (€150 / day)

On calm seas, you can visit three countries in one day: Slovenia, Croatia (Kanegra) and Italy (Grado). Venice is approximately 50 nautical miles away (approximately 2 hours of sailing at an average speed of 25 nm/h), Rovinj is approximately 32 nautical miles away (1 hour 15 minutes of sailing), and Portopiccolo Sistiana is approximately 17 nautical miles away (40 minutes of sailing).

Starting point is Marina Portoroz. On calm seas you can visit 3 countries in one day; Slovenia, Croatia (Kanegra) and Italy (Grado). You can even visit Venice or Rovinj. Venice is approx. 50 miles from Portoroz, or 2 hours sailing at an average speed of 25 knots. Rovinj is even closer (approx. 33 miles).
In case of bad weather or rough seas, we recommend you not to sail because we don’t want you to feel uncomfortable on board. In this case, we suggest you to postpone the boat trip and to agree on a new date with us.
The boat is registered for 9 persons (including skipper). For the full experience and comfort on board, we recommend up to 5 persons for day trips and up to 3 persons for overnight stays.
Fuel is not included in the rental price. Average fuel consumption is arround 50L/hour (2L/mile) at a cruising speed of 25 knots. Total fuel consumption depends on sea condition, distance and hours sailed. For example, there are arround 35 miles from Portoroz to Grado (Italy) and back, so the total fuel consumption is arround 70 liters of gasoline (approx. 120€). Total fuel consumption to Venice and back on calm seas is arround 250 liters (approx. 400€). You will get a full tank of fuel (300 liters) and return it full. There’s a fuel station in Marina Portoroz where you can pay with a credit card.
If you rent a boat without a skipper, you need a boat license. However, we will check your boating skills before renting the boat. If we determine that you cannot safely operate the boat on your own, you will have to hire a skipper (if available) even if you have a boat license.
The boat is insured with a 1% (1.000€) deductible. If the boat is damaged, the boat’s insurance will not cover damage up to 1.000€, and it will be covered out of your security deposit.
We will check your boating skills before renting the boat. If we determine that you cannot safely operate the boat on your own, you will have to hire a skipper (if available).
